NVE Celebrates 20 Years of Leadership

March 8, 2009—NVE celebrates 20 years of leadership today. The company was founded March 8, 1989 as Nonvolatile Electronics, Inc. by spintronics pioneer Dr. James M. Daughton.

NVE 20 Years of LeadershipThe company’s name was formally changed to NVE Corporation when it became public in 2000.

Recognition of Dr. Daughton's extraordinary contributions include being named an IEEE Fellow, the Tekne Award for Innovation, and the Daniel E. Noble Award.

NVE is a leader in the practical commercialization of spintronics, a nanotechnology that relies on electron spin rather than electron charge to acquire, store and transmit information. The company manufactures high-performance spintronic products including sensors and couplers that are used to acquire and transmit data. NVE has also licensed its spintronic magnetoresistive random access memory technology, commonly known as MRAM.
